We can only accept identity documents that meet the following criteria:

  1. It must be issued by a government body (federal or provincial/territorial/state);

  2. It must be valid;

  3. It must contain a photo of yourself;

  4. It must contain your first and last name;

  5. It must contain your date of birth.

These are acceptable identity documents:

  • Passport (Canadian or foreign)

  • Canadian Provincial, Territorial or American State Driver's License

  • Canadian DND 404 Driver’s Licence

  • Canadian Provincial, Territorial or American State Photo Card

  • Canadian Provincial/Territorial Photo Health Card (excluding Quebec, all Provincial Health Cards MUST be accompanied by a valid Birth Certificate)

  • Permanent Residence Card

  • Indian Status Card

  • Citizenship Card

  • Canadian Federal Firearms License

Important info:

  • If you’re submitting a provincial/territorial/state driver’s license or photo identification card, you must upload an image of the front AND the back.

  • If you're submitting the old (laminated) version of a Status Indian Card, you must upload an image of the front AND the back.

  • Copies of ID documents must be submitted in colour and must not be altered in any way.

  • To qualify for an account, you must meet or exceed the age of majority in your province. You must be at least:

    • 18 years old in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Québec, and Saskatchewan;

    • 19 years old in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and Yukon.
