Coinsquare is now requiring all users to provide a phone number to add to their account information. The intent is to ensure the complete and proper verification of all users. The addition of a phone number also allows Coinsquare the ability to better provide support where applicable.
If you have an existing Coinsquare account and signed in recently, you would have already been asked to verify your phone number. Users can verify their phone numbers in three easy steps:
Input your phone number and country code. There are some important things to note here:
A mobile phone number is NOT required, you may use a home phone number and choose the 'Call me' option.
You are able to use a non-Canadian phone number.
Select 'Get code via text message' or 'Call me' based on your preferences.
You should receive an automated message with a 6-digit verification code. Enter the code on this page and select 'Submit code.'
Once completed, you will be able to access your account as usual. You can see your phone number along with your email, home address, and other personal information on your Profile page.
