When sending digital currency to fund your account, it's important that you be diligent in entering the correct address information.
The deposit address information provided in your Coinsquare account is what enables your funds to be mapped to your trading account. If this information is incorrect, your funds will not be deposited. Transactions that occur on the blockchain cannot be reversed once they are confirmed.
It's also important to ensure that you are using the correct deposit address for the currency you are sending. For example, if you wish to fund your Coinsquare account with Bitcoin, you must use your Bitcoin (BTC) deposit address. If you use an address meant for a different currency, your funds will not be received, and it's possible they will not be retrievable.
If you have sent digital currency to an incorrect deposit address, please reach out to our Support Team.
We ask that you provide the following information:
- Date of transaction
- Amount and currency sent
- Address funds were sent to
- Transaction ID/Hash (TXID)
The Coinsquare Team takes note of each case brought to our attention where coins are sent to an incorrect address. While we do not have an immediate solution for retrieving these coins, we will be contacting clients once we have more information.
